Sightseeing & Lunch at Mercado da Ribeira

Hi my loves, how are you doing? I just came home from the Gym and finished some school related things and now I finally found some time to work on my portugal-photodiary again 😀 So on Saturday after our stroll in the city center and at the Praça de Comércio, we took the bus and just enjoyed the view and the wind in the hair. After our sightseeing tour, wer were pretty exhausted and a little bit “hangry” I hope I’m not the only one who gets moody when I’m hungry 😀 Our target was the famous mercado da ribeira, which is a huge food market where you can buy local specialities and also international food. So there’s definitely something for everyone in there. I decided to have a typical portugese seafood dish: tomato rice with shells. I’ve never tried shells before and I was surprised how good they tasted. In the middle of the mercado, there’s a juice bar and they made the best green juice ever. It tasted healthy but because of the berrys and the banana the sweetnesslevel was perfect. So if you ever go to the mercado da ribeira don’t miss the shells and the green juice 😀 Pretty stuffed but happy we decided to walk the meal off with a stroll back to the old town. There we had some coffe, icecream and pasteis de nata of course 😀 I think I didn’t miss one day without eating at least one pasteis de nata, these little vanillacream tarts just taste like heaven. I hope you enjoy the pictures xoxo Lea
